Open Education is a fascinating area of innovation and a cornerstone of the future of education. It represents not just a dedication to the creation of open educational resources (OERs), it’s a global approach that encompasses customised teaching prototypes, co-creational work, digital and physical open spaces, open communities of practice, and individualised, modular learning pathways. This International Staff Week on Open Education, organised by Nantes Université, gathered experts, researchers, teachers and staff from different countries to share their experiences, best practices and questions surrounding Open Education. The programme included participative workshops, a field trip, virtual reality experiments and conferences.
Participants benefited from exchanges with like-minded peers from across the globe, developped a common strategy and reflected on their vision for the future of Open Education.
The aim of this staff week was to create synergies and collaborations between the Open Education pioneers of our institutions and to discuss how to raise awareness, train, transform, create and share open educational resources.
