The 2026 edition of the Open Education (OE) Week, an initiative by Open Education Global, is almost there! As publishing one article per day throughout the month was not enough(!), we have also decided to open the doors of our working group during an online webinar.
Indeed, beyond working together to promote and develop Open Education within the alliance, the EUniWell OE working group is also a space where we can share together practices, project ideas, and general thoughts regarding OE. However, these exchanges usually take place behind the closed doors of our meetings or of our mail discussions.
The OE Week gives us the opportunity to open them for once!
We are therefore offering a one-hour webinar made of short presentations featuring OE-related reflections, practices, and projects from across our universities. It will take place online on Wednesday 4th March, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. It is open to everyone. To participate, you just need to fill the registration form and we will send you the connection link. The webinar will be in English.
During this session:
- Franco Bagnoli – professor of physics at University of Florence, will share reflections on the MOOC format and the challenges of offline education;
- Roxane Poor-Hang – digital education engineer at Inalco, will explain how Inalco is using MOOCs to contribute to the preservation of less widely spoken languages;
- Alexander Klein – instructional designer at the University of Konstanz, will present the challenges of open licenses in the age of AI and the Creative Commons Signals initiative;
- Erwan Louërat – EUniWell open education project manager at Nantes Université, will give a guided tour of the newly created EUniWell OER showcase.
We hope you will enjoy the format and content, and we look forward to seeing you online next Wednesday!
